Non-motorized water sports

Barceló Maya Colonial is a 24-hour all-inclusive family beach hotel within the luxury Barceló Maya Beach Resort, in the area of Xpu-Há. Its dining offer includes two buffet restaurants, six a la carte restaurants, and two oceanfront restaurants, as well as various bars distributed in the facilities. Registered guests have access to the buffet restaurants and bars at the Barceló Maya Beach and Barceló Maya Caribe sister hotels. The property has six pools, including one for adults, a semi-Olympic pool, and others with shallow areas for children. There is also a shopping center, the largest in the Riviera Maya, which features a water park, a wave pool, bowling, a teen disco, 18-hole miniature golf, stores, restaurants, and bars. The all-inclusive plan includes sports such as tennis, paddle tennis, kayaking, snorkeling equipment on lending for one hour per day, and a diving class in the pool once a week. There is a daily activities program for all ages and night shows at Palenque Theater and Kukulcán Theater, both located at the sister hotels. The resort has a dolphinarium where you can book dolphin activities. The spa offers a wide variety of facial, body, and beauty treatments, as well as a children's spa, a hydrotherapy area, and a fitness center. The 480 guest rooms and suites enjoy a daily-restocked minibar, in-room safe, and telephone with voice mail. The property is 25 kilometers (15.5 mi) from Playa del Carmen and its famous Fifth Avenue, and 45 kilometers (28 mi) from the town of Tulum and its archaeological site.
