The hotel is surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and handicraft shops, less than a 10-minute walk from El Adoquín, an area popular for spending the afternoon, walking or having ice cream at sunset. The hotel is 3 kilometers (1.8 mi) from Carrizalillo Beach and 18 kilometers (11 mi) from Manialtepec Lagoon. Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM) is 5 kilometers (3 mi) away. Surf Olas Altas has 60 guest rooms equipped with air conditioning, coffeemaker, in-room safe, private bath with shower, direct dial telephone, and satellite TV. The hotel features the Olas Altas restaurant, serving a variety of dishes ranging from traditional cuisine from Oaxaca, pasta, snacks, and wood-fired pizza.
