Sandos Caracol Eco Resort is an all-inclusive beach family hotel in a natural ecosystem in Playa del Carmen. The property is surrounded by jungle and spider monkeys and tropical birds can be seen around the facilities. The All-Nature Experience includes diverse daily ecological activities such as floating on a crystal river, swimming in a sinkhole, cooking like the ancient Mayas, learning techniques to survive in the jungle, and outdoor Mayan shows. The all-inclusive plan offers different buffet and a la carte restaurants, and bars. The hotel has two pools, one of them with a shallow area for children. The 956 guest rooms and suites are distributed in villas located from the jungle to the beach. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with shower, minibar, balcony or terrace, cable TV, and air conditioning. Royal Elite rooms are located in eco-friendly buildings that offer energy-saving air conditioning, water heated with solar panels, LED interior lights, a water recycling system, and wooden furniture from certified forests. The property is 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from downtown Playa del Carmen and its variety of stores and restaurants, 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) from the pier of Playa del Carmen, where you can take the ferry to the island of Cozumel; and 16 kilometers (10 mi) from Xcaret Park, with fun for the whole family. Cancún International Airport (CUN) is 52 kilometers (32.3 mi) from the hotel. ***Adult-only categories only allow guests over 18 years of age. ***The local government has a mandatory tax of $32.57 MXN per room, per night, payable directly to the hotel. ***Upon check-in, all reservations will be asked for a credit card to make a hold for the amount of $5,000.00 MXN. This is to accommodate any possible incidents. During the guest's check-out, the amount held will be released by the reception. ***When confirming the reservation, the customer acknowledges and accepts that the hotel may modify and adapt hours and services according to the needs at any given time, deriving from the current situation. Moreover, the customer agrees to comply with the official regulations and hotel rules at any time to fulfill the guidelines arising from the present situation, leaving the stay cancellation to the hotel management discretion in case of non-compliance.
