Here is a brief description of each brand to help you select your cruise. The best brand is the one that best adapts to the trip you are looking for. Each line has its own strengths that stand out and make it ideal for a particular trip, whether luxury, romantic or with the family.

Royal Caribbean

Founded in 1968, this cruise line has 22 ships visiting 260 destinations worldwide. It currently operates the largest cruise ships in the world: Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas, both with capacity for 5,400 passengers and 361.79 meters (1,187 ft) in length.

Royal Caribbean is recommended for family cruises, thanks to its Adventure Ocean © children activities program and its range of activities on board: climbing wall, ice and roller skating, surf simulator and their shows with characters from Nickelodeon and Dreamworks studios.


Founded in 1989, the company has 11 ships traveling around the world in 60 different itineraries. Its newest ship, Celebrity Reflection, will have its maiden voyage in December 2012. The Greek letter Χ (Chi) that appears in the logo corresponds to the initial of its founder's last name, Anthony Chandris, who founded the Chandris Line shipping company in 1960.

Celebrity is a luxury cruise line recommended for customers looking for a superior experience in specialty restaurants, activities, and stateroom amenities.
