About Ixtapa / Zihuatanejo, Mexico

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is located on the coasts of the Mexican state of Guerrero, 240 kilometers (144 mi) to the north of Acapulco and 667 kilometers (400 mi) from Mexico City. Ixtapa is only 6 kilometers (3.6 mi) from Zihuatanejo and both areas are connected by a four-lane highway that leads to the international airport. This place, along with Acapulco and Taxco, is part of Triangulo del Sol in the state of Guerrero.
