The city of Plantation is located in the southern part of the state of Florida, 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) from the city of Fort Lauderdale and 47 kilometers (29.2 mi) north of Miami. This city was named after the Everglades Plantation Company that was established in these lands. Although it seems like a quiet city, Plantation has several hotels and restaurants where you can try delicious Caribbean specialties.
